Schedule of events
Course opens- 3:00 pm Coaches Meeting- 3:45pm
Girls Championship Race- 4:00 pm (Top 7 runners only)
Boys Championship Race- 4:35 pm (5 minutes after last Girl) (Top 7 Runners only)
MS/Running Club 3K and Alternate Race for HS Runners (5K) 5:10pm
Qualification to Regionals- All teams qualify for respective region championships (10 can enter 7 can run)
Coaches-AD's should be giving them to my AD Tuesday. (Correction per district handbook Top 5 will receive medals)
Awards-There will an awards ceremony after the middle school race. We are thinking awards will be at 5:45pm
Bassett will be conducting a quick senior recognition event before awards begin. We will make it very brief.
Host School- Bassett High School (Coaches Kevin Underwood and Brandy Arnold)
Athletes- Athletes will be able to warm-up, cool-down anywhere within the complex
Spectators - The Piedmont District will be charging $5 per car for admission to the complex
Teams competing:- Halifax, Bassett, Tunstall, Magna Vista, Martinsville, George Washington, Mecklenburg
Entries- Teams will enter through the Milestat platform at www.miletstat.com
Team Tent Area- All Teams will be located on the Soccer Field near the golf range
Course- Course is all grass and trails course will be well marked with orange flags, white paint, and cones
Awards-Top 15 All PD for both Varsity Races and Top 5 for MS
Refreshments-The host school will provide water, and fruit at the finish line area
Trainer- Trainer will be on site but if not Ice and bags will be available if needed for athletes by host school. If not local coverage from Rescue squad will be provided.
Buses- Once teams are dropped off at the entrance to XC course buses must park in the main parking lot
Bathrooms- There are bathrooms located at the main complex, bottom fields area and there is a Porta-John located near the start line (Coaches help us by telling your runners to not tear up the bathrooms)
